The US Postal Service announced yesterday that the price of postage is increasing, yet again, in May. They also have confirmed that annually, each May, the price of postage will continue to be adjusted.
Now, there may be some people who don't read into the implications of this, so I will go over some of them.
For consumers: If you previously bought stamps at 41-cents a piece, now you're forced to find 1-cent stamps, OR throw another stamp on there of a higher value, hence paying more than you need to.
For businesses: If you are one of the millions of companies that mails invoices, checks and other items, you're now spending a whole lot more. One cent may not sound like much, but it sure adds up quickly. For every 1000 items sent First Class Mail, that's 10 dollars extra. If you're a smaller business that buys postage stamps, what are you doing with the 41-cent stamps you already purchased this past year? Are you doubling them up to avoid having to find 1-cent stamps to accompany them?
What's that - you bought Forever Stamps at 41-cents a piece? Good thinking. No matter how much stamps continue to go up, your 41-cent stamps (purchase price) now equal that new value. What happens when you run out of those ageless cash-savers though? You buy more of them. Except, come May they're 42-cents a piece. You're paying more.
Why NOT pay LESS?
The fastest, easiest, cheapest way to send invoices, for example, is electronically. And the price doesn't keep increasing! With electronic invoicing, your business' invoice-to-pay cycle is likely to be cut in half, labor costs are practically eliminated and invoices are delivered in an instant.
It IS that simple. If you and your company are interested in more information on how to quickly and effectively save time and money, visit www.enlivensoftware.com or call us toll free at (866)-439-5884.
